At Immaculate Conception High School, the College Search/ Future Planning begins the minute our students walk through the doors. It is our ultimate goal to find the perfect match for each student before they graduate. The Guidance Department works with each student and family to be certain that each young lady chooses a college/ university that meets her needs in the following areas:
- Academic
- Spiritual
- Social
- Financial
- Athletic
- Comfort
- Extra-Curricular Opportunities
The Guidance Department assists our students during every step of the college/future process. We provide various college information sessions, FAFSA nights, Financial Aid Information Sessions, Guidance groups, individual counseling sessions, college visits, and so on.
Our Student Advisory Program, instituted in September of 2019, is another area of support for our students beginning in Freshman year. Weekly group sessions with our amazing faculty, staff, administration, speakers, and girls of various grade levels allows for a support system like no other. Being able to bounce ideas off of one another in a non-threatening, comfortable environment has been proven to support our girls in the best possible way.
We assist our students in the application process by offering help while writing essays, providing recommendations, building their individual resumes, and practicing interviewing techniques on an individual basis Since each student has a variety of needs, we provide the individual attention that caters to the academic and personal goals of each Immaculate Conception student.
Throughout the 4 years, the personal attention given to each student increases day by day. Getting to know our girls and their goals and needs personally allows us to ensure a future that they will be proud of.
