Indoor track at Immaculate Conception High School is very exciting. Our Blue Wolves are great students, talented, motivated, and fun. ICHS is always looking for competitive athletes who are driven both academically and athletically.
Most of our meets take place at the New Balance Track and Field Center at The Armory located in New York City. The Armory is recognized as one of the fastest tracks in the world. Annually, it hosts over 100 track and field competitions and training for more than 220,000 athletes and 300,000 visitors ranging from elementary school youth to senior citizens. Being able to have access to this state-of-the-art facility is an advantage to our student-athletes.
The 2019-2020 season showed great promise from our freshman. Freshman Sarah Dickson quickly made a name for herself as she broke the school record in the 1600m indoor race. She accomplished this in only her second race of her young career. Samantha Bosques used her experience as a sprinter to make her way onto the varsity relays with Junior Captain Paige Portacio. Other accomplishments made this season by our Blue Wolves athletes include Paige Portacio, who set a personal record at 200m race and fellow Caption Danielle Sancilio, who set a personal best in the 55m hurdles. With the majority of the team returning for next season, we look forward to continuing improving our young team. Let’s Go Blue Wolves!
