On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, during our "Time for Us Tuesday" Immaculate Conception High School welcomed Mrs. Judith Beckmeyer `80, to the ICHS family.
Mrs. Beckmeyer is a certified School Psychologist and has experience in various school settings. She spent most of her career as a School Psychologist and a Student Assistance Coordinator, servicing students with needs ranging from learning disabilities to depression and substance abuse issues. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University and her graduate degree at Rutgers Graduate School of Education. Additionally, she received her School Psychologist Certification at Georgian Court University, and her Student Assistance Coordinator Certification at Montclair State University. In 2018, Mrs. Beckmeyer became a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Currently, she has a small private practice in Washington Township, New Jersey.
Mrs. Beckmeyer shared, “I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to return to ICHS, as a Clinician and a Consultant! I feel my experiences in districts that ranged from rural to urban, experiences with cultural competency and vast ranges of experiences on a Child Study Team, 504 Committee, Student Resource Committee and Substance Abuse Coordinator; all have helped me attain an in depth knowledge of what is actually happening regarding the students of New Jersey. Together, with the ICHS Administration, we are going to do our best to address the many mental health issues that our youth are facing today.”
Mrs. Jessica Cutrona, Associate Head of School and Dean of Student Life stated, “Judith will be an asset to our Student Advisory Program and will work alongside our Guidance Department. She comes to us with a wealth of experience and knowledge on adolescent behavior and challenges. Welcome back, Judith!”
