Earlier last week, it was a not-so-silent night at the Care One Center in Hackensack, New Jersey and it was all thanks to the ICHS Vocal Ensemble. The group brought Christmas cheer to the senior health care center. Led my music director, Michael Wada, ICHS students sang carols of seasonal favorites for residents and staff. “Our students gain valuable performance experience in a no-pressure environment where the audience is always thrilled to hear them,” shared, Wada.
Later in the week, ICHS hosted a book fair day at Barnes & Noble in Paramus, NJ. On Saturday, December 16th, the vocal ensemble performed Christmas melodies for the shoppers including a group song by the graduating seniors. Additionally, ICHS student ambassadors volunteered at the gift wrap table and assisted customers in warpping their holiday gifts. ICHS families, alumnae, and friends were on hand to shop and support ICHS throughout the store.
