Immaculate Conception High School Goes PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Dr. Donna McNamara from The John Theurer Cancer center at Hackensack University Hospital spoke to the girls about early detection and the importance of women’s health and regular check-ups.  Wearing pink does more than raise money for breast cancer; it raises awareness. According to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide and the second-most common cancer overall. So no matter who you are or where you live, understanding breast cancer is important.

All funds raised from the pink dress down days in October will be donated to The John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Hospital.  By showing their compassion for breast cancer survivors and a commitment to their health and women’s health issues, our students continue to show that ICHS core values are present in every activity at school.
