The class was paired into groups and assigned one religion including Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism. The students focused on geography, origins, rites of passage, celebrations, and more. From posters to power point presentations, the girls confidently stood in front of the class to present their specific information.
The girls were eager to share that it is important to learn about other religions to build relationships, accept other’s differences and beliefs, and to understand other cultures.
Mr. Ward shared, “Studying world religions gives you the opportunity to explore some of the deepest and most significant ideas and values that have emerged in human history. “
