Class of 2016 Baccalaureate Mass

Sister Alexander Siegel, CSSF, Campus Minister presented each graduate with a statue of Mary as a remembrance of their years at ICHS. The mass concluded with student council senior class president, Natalia Tomcyzk ’16 leading the graduates in one final group prayer in honor of the Blessed Mother.

Immediately following mass, the ICHS community came together to celebrate the achievements of the graduates at the Awards Dinner and Reception in the cafeteria. More than 100 guests attended the much-anticipated dinner; which was one of the many celebrations for the seniors before commencement. Students were formally recognized for their outstanding achievements in academics, athletics, and extra-curricular activities.

Gregory Liosi, ICHS Theater Director presented Amanda Leger ’16 with the Sister Mary Seraphica Aspiration Award for excellence in the performing arts with love, devotion, patience, pride, and sense of leadership. Joann Beatrice ‘79, Senior Class Advisor presented Amanda Roldan ’16 with the Sister Mary Michelle Krug Spirit Award for her example of living life to its fullest, never taking anything for granted and being strong in mind and character. The ICHS faculty and staff voted for the students for both of these special awards. The event concluded with a celebratory cake and lots of photos, hugs, and laughs!
