Immaculate Conception High School is continuing to celebrate Catholic Schools Week with the announcement of their new Breakfast at School Program. Breakfast will be served daily from 7:00 am to 7:45 am in the cafeteria. The menu will include a variety of hot beverages, juices, and milk, as will fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereal.
Research confirms that breakfast is the most important meal of the day for students’ health, academic achievement, cognitive development, and mental health. Students who eat school breakfast are more likely to:
Reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math
- Concentrate better
- Be more alert
- Retain more of what they learn
- Participate in class
“Serving breakfast is one important way we can help make sure ICHS students are ready and eager to learn. It is just another way for the ICHS community to join together and build stronger bonds.” exclaimed, Joseph R. Azzolino, President/Principal.
In addition, the ICHS Food Services Staff is sponsoring a prize drawing in celebration of Catholic Schools Week. Every morning, after prayers, they will draw the name of one student and one staff member who will receive a coupon for a free lunch or breakfast in the cafeteria. #CSW16
