Over 70 families visited the Open Houses and were greeted by enthusiastic and cheerful Student Ambassadors. As the prospective families filled the auditorium, the Vocal Ensemble sang some of their favorite melodies.
Miss Nicole Mineo, Coordinator of Enrollment Management, opened the Open Houses with a prayer and welcomed the families; explaining to them why Immaculate Conception High School is the right choice for their daughters to develop into compassionate, confident, and inspiring young leaders.
Mr. Azzolino, Head of School, explained to the families the many advantages of sending their daughter to ICHS: the Felician Collegiate Academy Program, the new Student Advisory Program, the passion of the faculty and staff, but most importantly, the Immaculate Conception High School sisterhood that is deeply rooted within our student body. This strong sisterhood stems from Blessed Mary Angela, the Foundress of the Felician Sisters and our Felician Core Values.
Miss Kelly Koval, the new Dean of Academics, also introduced herself and spoke with pride about the innovative curriculum we offer, and encouraged our guests to enjoy the tours. During the tours, families met with faculty and staff, and learned about the daily life of an ICHS student. Some of the areas explored were Religion, History, Math, English, World Languages, Science, Art, Theater, Guidance and Student Advisory. Our Student Ambassadors guided the tours with smiles, expressing to the prospective families why Immaculate Conception High School is their second home.
After the tours concluded, visitors gathered in the cafeteria. Positive energy from all the attendees, faculty, staff, and students filled the room. We received amazing feedback from the prospective families. One parent expressed that her favorite part of the Open House was talking to the students, and getting to know the faculty and staff. She exclaimed, “My daughter was so happy to see how kind and expressive they were! We are looking forward to our next Open House in April, 2020!”
