“Here at ICHS, we encourage our girls to be confident and believe that they can be anything they dream to be and MORE. The panelists were so inspiring and offered so much information and advice that the girls will take with them for years to come and beyond.” shared Renee Gitto ’91, Director of Advancement.
With an auditorium filled with guests, moderator Caroline McKenna ’19, Rho Kappa president, delivered questions to the panelists and welcomed questions from the audience as well. The group participated in many lively discussions on topics such as equality in the workforce, believing in your dreams, misconceptions about successful women, and so much more.
The messages of encouragement and advice were shared by all participants and a few samples are below, as they were just too good not to share with a larger audience.
“Learn as much as you can. School is where you find yourself and education will always stay with you.” ~ Dolores Sleiman
“Work hard, there are no shortcuts. Don’t be afraid to take risks and step out of your comfort zone.” ~ Jill Cadre, Esq.
“Success looks different to everyone. Whatever your vision of success is; make that happen and be a leader.” ~ Tara Swanson
“Take risks and make the wrong decisions and then learn from them and grow into who you are meant to be.” ~ Melody Kettle
“Do things you are not comfortable with and get out of your comfort zone. That’s where you find your drive and your passion.” ~ Joanne Balady
“Never feel stuck; there are so many options to find your passion and do what you love and don’t be afraid to change courses throughout your life. ” ~ Judge Harz
