Supporting the ICHS Fund provides students with academic excellence, extracurricular enrichment, and a variety of opportunities, which are deeply rooted within the sisterhood of ICHS.
What is Annual Giving? Annual Giving is the total support received in a fiscal year from the Annual Fund, the Gala and other fundraising efforts. Members of the Immaculate Conception High School Community are encouraged to support all components of the school’s Annual Giving efforts.
Full participation in the ICHS Annual Fund by Trustees, Parents, Alumnae, Staff and Faculty demonstrates a sense of unity within the ICHS community. It also indicates when seeking support from corporations, foundations, major donors and friends that those who are most connected to the school are committed. All gifts, no matter what the amount, are important.
ICHS asks each family to make a gift that is meaningful to them. Every gift is significant. The level of community participation is as important as the actual amount given.
Unrestricted Annual Fund Gifts: Unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund support every aspect of school life and the school’s daily operations. Most specifically: merit scholarship and financial aid; academic, athletics, and extracurricular programs; campus maintenance and enhancements; and faculty benefits, and professional development. Your support of the Annual Fund ensures our ability to continue to provide a comprehensive educational experience by investing in these priorities. A gift to the Annual Fund is payable within the school’s fiscal year.
Restricted Annual Fund Gifts: Restricted Annual Fund gifts support specific needs within a fiscal year and can only be designated by the donor. Some examples include: Smartboards, microscopes, iPads, professional development for teachers, or classroom furniture.
Gala and Other Events: The Gala, along with other key fundraising events, help support the Annual Giving goals of ICHS. Support of these events is integral to supporting unrestricted operating expenses of ICHS. In recent years, at the Gala, there has been a “wish list” component, which supports a specific need or initiative that would immediately impact ICHS and our girls.
Alumnae and Friends Giving Tuesday: Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. It takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. ICHS alumnae and friends are invited to come together and kick off the giving season by making a donation to the ICHS Annual Fund in the month of December.
Tree of Lights: ICHS invites donors to fill the Tree of Lights with Christmas wishes, magical moments, and precious memories. Gifts will impact our students by directly supporting educational advancement. Gifts illuminate the hearts and minds of the ICHS community, and the tree shines bright as a symbol of our spirit during the Christmas season. Gifts to the Tree of Lights are fully tax deductible and support the ICHS Annual Fund.
Senior Gift Drive: The Senior Gift Drive is a unique opportunity for graduating seniors to make a lasting impression at ICHS. A Senior’s gift is an unrestricted gift to the ICHS Annual Fund. The drive unites and encourages students to give back to ICHS. The Senior Gift Drive also provides an excellent opportunity for seniors to learn the vital part that alumnae support plays in the well-being of our school. A gift to the Senior Gift Drive is the first step toward the transition from student to alumna. Every gift is important, no matter its size. This year we are asking our graduating class to make a contribution of $20.20 in honor of Class 2020.
