ICHS was honored to have Officer Cindy Castro, of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department join the school on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, for a very special Time For Us Tuesday during the Advisory Period.

Officer Castro held a basic outdoor self defense class for the upperclassmen.

Mrs. Jessica Cutrona, Dean of Student Life and Associate Head of School shared, “I am excited that ICHS was able to host a self defense training session for our  students. Officer Cindy Castro and her partner provided a wonderful training, and the underclassmen learned about the importance of self defense.”

Officer Cindy Castro shared, “Thank you so much for having us. It was a pleasure speaking with the staff and showing the students some basic self defense. Very impressed by all!” 

A parent shared, “My daughter loved this! I hope they can come back for a longer session one day.”
Mr. Joseph R. Azzolino concluded with the following words, “ What a great confidence builder and an amazing opportunity for the students!”
