Compassion Through Art

According to CNN, Jacob Thompson had Stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma, and doctors told his family in early October he probably only had a month to live. So they celebrated Christmas early this year, and Jacob wanted people to celebrate with him by sending him cards. Senior, Melissa DeFrancesco suggested the ICHS community contribute to the young boy’s wish. The students created cards for Jacob using paints, crayons, markers, and individual drawings. “By supporting Jacob we are contributing to the magic of the Christmas season, encouraging expression in art, and sharing our gifts with others.” shared Michael Baretto, ICHS Art Teacher. It is our hope that our cards lifted Jacob's spirits prior to his passing this week
